Hardwood Flooring Plus is a business with roots tracing back over 60 years. In 1943, Nelson Harper began his career in the hardwood flooring business working for several different contractors around the United States before settling in Oxnard, California. In 1957, Nelson opened his own business which served Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. His craftsmanship and dedicated work ethic became widely known.
In 1975, Brad Morgan, Nelson’s oldest grandson began working for him and was instilled with the same hardworking and dedicated work ethic. For years Brad established a reputation of reliability and high quality unmatched by his competitors. In the summer of 2005, Brad decided to relocate to northern California and sold Brad Morgan Hardwood Flooring to Dan A. Rudolph of Camarillo. Dan has an extensive background in the hardwood flooring industry which dates back to 1982.
Dan started DA Rudolph Quality Hardwood Flooring in 1986 which serviced LA and Orange Counties. His business was built on quality work and customer service. Dan continuously educated himself on the latest techniques and always made sure his employees were highly trained and using the latest and most advanced equipment while always putting safety first.
In 1994, Dan decided to move his family to Ventura County. He became the Vice President of Virginia Hardwood Company of Ventura County which serviced Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Dan worked with National manufacturers and suppliers and partnered with local retailers and contractors throughout Southern California.
It was during this ten year period that Dan worked closely with, and became friends with Brad Morgan. Dan always admired Brad and was impressed with his knowledge of the wood flooring business. Over the years Brad would joke about selling his business to Dan. In August of 2005, this became reality.
Since that time, Dan has added another crew and has upgraded the equipment used to the latest in dust FREE and FLAT SANDING equipment. He has added the latest in work vehicles and added a local showroom as well as the MOBILE SHOWROOM, where we bring flooring to your door. Dan continues working hard to instill the integrity and quality that Nelson Harper and Brad Morgan represented in the county.
